Mission Statement: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Our group is founded in Bible Study. Our Bible Study is taken from the Gather magazine. A subscription for the magazine can be obtained through Augsburg Fortress. We meet the 1st Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. for our business meeting and 7:00 p.m. for BIble Study.
We support many Lutheran WOrld Relief Projects. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. to make mission quilts for LWR. We have Fair Trade Coffee and Tea for sale in the Narthex. At other times we collect items for LWR health kits, sewing kits and layette kits.
We work with our Tanzania Partnership Committee to collect funds for scholarships for young women in our partnership parish in Utanziwa to attend secondary school.
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry Group has grown and is now called the Knit-Wits. They are involved in various knitting service projects, but our Prayer Shawl Ministry continues. Knit-Wits meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
Our Reformation Writers' Group meets Monday evenings at 6:30. We use a resource called Christian Voices: Leading Women's Writing Groups by Mary Mortimer Dossin.
Page Turners, our book club/readers' group, meets monthly. Check the church calendar and monthly newsletters for dates and reading selections.
