Rev. Steven C. Claycomb, Pastor

     Pastor Steve was born in Lushoto, Tanzania, on January 2, 1969, to Donald and Marlene Claycomb, who were missionaries at the time with the Lutheran Church. He grew up in Bucks County and was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Doylestown in 1982. He graduated from Central Bucks West High School in 1987, where he participated in wrestling, football, and Boy Scouts. He received his Associate Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College in 1989. Pastor Steve worked in the nursing field for the next eight years at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Home Health Care, and Hospice. He received his BA in Psychology in 1991 and enjoyed playing rugby while at Susquehanna University.

     From 1992-1996, he attended and graduated from Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary, receiving his Masters in Theology. Pastor Steve was ordained in June of 1996, and his first call was to a two-point parish between Altoona and Johnstown, at First Lutheran Church in Portage and St. Luke Lutheran Church in Lilly. While there, he also enjoyed working as an assistant wrestling coach for Portage High School.

     In February of 2001 he was installed as Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills. In February of 2007 he began his ministry at Reformation. He resides in Muhlenburg Township with his wife, Bonnie, and son, Andrew.
   
   
Cindy Shirey, Parish Administrator

     Cindy Shirey was born in Reading, PA. She graduated from Daniel Boone School District. She became a licensed practical nurse after graduating from Reading Muhlenberg Vo-Technical School in 1969. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years in pediatrics. In 1995 she became a Registered Nurse after graduating from Regents College and worked as a Practice Administrator for 10 years at a local physician practice. She is very interested in alternative medicine and has become a Reiki Master teacher and a certified Hypnotist. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition. In 2007, she became Parish Administrator at Reformation.
   
   
Pam Schneeberger, Part-Time Church Secretary

     Pam Schneeberger was born and raised in Utica, NY. She graduated from Buffalo State with a BS in Education, and taught in Herkimer, NY for a couple of years. In the early 80’s she got married and moved to Colorado, started a family, and became a stay-at-home mom. In the late 80’s, she moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA, and then in the 90’s moved to Reading, PA. In the summer of 2007 she became the temporary secretary at Reformation and has been here ever since.
   
   
Rodney Kline, Treasurer

     Rod was born in Oley, PA and lived there until he moved to Exeter Township in September 2000. He is the son of Ray C and Hannah R. (Weidner) Kline. He graduated from Oley High School in the Class of 1957. He served in the US Air Force from December 1958 to September 1963 as a Special Weapons Loading Crew Chief. He married Patricia Ann Gill in Elma, Washington on April 24, 1965.

     They have a daughter, Cheryl L. Keim, Exeter Twp. and a son David R. Kline, Blandon. Patti and Rod have four grandchildren.

     Before retiring, Rod worked for Bank of Pennsylvania, National Penn Bank, Berks County Bank and Sovereign Bank as a Vice President in the Trust Department. Rod’s hobbies include fresh-water fishing, home maintenance and volunteering at church. Rod is a member of the Board of Directors of the Laurel Homeowners Association and the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles.
   
   
Donald Hinkle, Organist

     Donald Hinkle holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, Ohio, and a Master of Sacred Music from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio. His post-graduate work includes study at Union Theological Seminary School of Music, New York City, and Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey.

     He founded the Berks Classical Children’s Chorus in 1992 and served as its Music Director until the spring of 2000. At that time, in recognition of his vision, leadership and dedication to the musical education of the youth in the community, he was named BCCC Artistic Director. During his tenure with the chorus, he directed the Chorale, Chamber Singers, and MasterSingers. In May 2005, he retired from the chorus.

     In August 1996, Mr. Hinkle retired as Director of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, a position he had held since 1969. He became the organist at Reformation Lutheran Church in March 2003 and currently maintains a voice coaching studio in his home.
   
   
Kathryn Fellman, Minister of Music

     Mrs. Fellman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas in 1967. Bethany is one of twenty-eight colleges and universities affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

     She began her career in music education teaching classroom and choral music in the Salina Area School District, Salina, Kansas. Moving to Pennsylvania in 1969, she continued her work in music education in the Upper Dublin School system in Montgomery County. Her work in Berks County began in 1972 teaching classroom and choral music in the Antietam School District. In 1986 she accepted the position of high school choral director in the Governor Mifflin School District, continuing there until her retirement in 2006.

     She served as Choir Director of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church from 1974 until 1977. She has been an active member of Reformation since 1977, beginning her work as Minister of Music in 2004. She is a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
   
   
Mike Schneeberger, Sexton

     Mike Schneeberger was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He graduated from Buffalo State with a BS in Education, then moved to Colorado, and worked for a “bucket truck” company. In the early 80’s he got married. In the late 80’s, he changed jobs and moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA. Then in the mid 90’s he changed jobs again and moved to Reading, PA. He took the position as sexton at Reformation Lutheran Church in February of 2008.
   
   
Margaret McDevitt, Housekeeping

     Margaret McDevitt was born and raised in the city of Reading. In 1994 she moved to Temple, PA. Margie enjoys reading and quilting. Since February 2009, she has been a part of the housekeeping staff at Reformation Lutheran and is very happy to be here.
